Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on Sunday conferred with Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia Mohamed Osman Jawari on ways to support Somali institutions.

The efforts by the Somali parliament and government to draft the country’s constitution were discussed in the meeting, AL spokesman Mohamoud Afify said.

Abul Gheit stressed the pan-Arab organization’s support for the Somali institutions, the spokesman noted.
