Speaker of the House Nabih Berri met on Tuesday with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Emmanuel Bonne, with talks reportedly touching on most recent developments in Lebanon and the region. 


Speaker Berri then met with Information Minister, Melhem Riachy, whereby they tackled hour issues, including the present situation of the Ministry and his impending plan to develop its work. 


On emerging, Minister Riachy relayed the Speaker's readiness to assist in the development of the work of the Information Ministry, saying the Speaker was highly positive. 


Riachy also disclosed that talks reportedly dwelt on the current political situation, notably the relation between the Lebanese Forces and Amal Movement, describing climate as excellent. 


In response to a question, Riachy underlined that all dossiers related to the daily living affairs are considered strategic concerns for the government, and will be subject to discussion and approval in the appropriate manner. 


Berri met this afternoon with Jordanian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Nasser Judeh, in the presence of Jordanian Ambassador to Lebanon, Hazem al-Khatib. Talks majorly touched on the current developments. 


Judeh said on emerging that he is currently visiting Lebanon to meet with President of the Republic General Michel Aoun to hand him a written message from Jordan's King Abdullah II bearing on an invitation to attend the Arab summit to be hosted by Jordan at the end of next March. 


Judeh also noted that they discussed the current political developments in the region, especially the fundamental challenge of the fight against terrorism and extremist thinking, and the need to eradicate it through cohesive joint cooperation and comprehensive outlook.
