The Cabinet convened on Wednesday under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail to discuss a number of political, economic, social and security issues in addition to a number of bills.

During its weekly meeting, the cabinet will tackle preparations for the new academic year that is due to start on Saturday.

The cabinet also will review measures and bills related to achieving social and economic stability and encouraging local and foreign investments.

As well, the cabinet will probe steps taken so far to put into effect President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to lower inflation rates through activating the role of monitoring bodies and keeping tight control over markets.
