Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal discussed with Oman's Shura Council Chairman Khalid bin Hilal al Ma'awali a host of issues of mutual interest. 

The meeting came on the sidelines of the meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which are currently in session in Bangladesh, according to a statement by the House of Representatives. 

The two sides also tackled ties binding Egypt and Oman, especially at the parliamentary level, added the statement.
