The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met his Cypriot counterpart, Ioannis Kasoulides, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Shaikh Khalid hailed the development of joint cooperation, stressing keenness of the Kingdom to further develop bilateral ties and enhance cooperation in all fields.
Shaikh Khalid also met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, Don Pramudwinai, and they reviewed cooperation between the two friendly countries and keenness to strengthen ties. The two ministers reviewed the latest regional and international developments and affirmed their supportive stance of peace and stability all over the world.
Shaikh Khalid held another meeting with the former President of the United Nations General Assembly, Vuk Jeremić, and commended his efforts in strengthening the role of the United Nations during his term, wishing him further success.
Jeremić expressed thanks to the minister for the supporting stances during his presidency, highlighting the cooperating approach of Bahrain with the United Nations, which reflects its belief in the important role it plays in maintaining international peace and security.
