Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi met today with US Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken, who is currently visiting Baghdad.

During the meeting, they discussed preparations for the liberation of Mosul, in addition to the political situation and the challenges facing the Iraqi government. Blinken reiterated his country's support for Iraq.
