U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met Friday with Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on the sidelines of a summit on countering violent extremism.
Ahead of the meeting, Kerry told reporters that Jordan plays a critical role in many efforts in the Middle East, including the counter-Islamic State (IS) campaign, Palestinian-Israeli peacemaking, counter-terrorism, the civil war in Syria, “and the efforts at the moment to deal with the challenges of terrorism emanating from Syria.
