Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury met here today with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Vice-President Tomiyoshi Kenichi. They discussed cooperation and the repercussions of the Syrian refugees' crisis on Jordan The Jordanian Minister said his country is the world's top refugee host country according to UN agencies figures.
He asked the Japanese agency to increase its support to Jordan , through grants, soft loans and technical assistance, to help Jordan address the ramification of the Syrian refugees on its resources and boost regional stability.
For his part, the Japanese official noted the strong ties between his country and Jordan, while reiterating the key role played by the Kingdom to boost regional stability and security.
