Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan received Al-Salam Bank Chief Executive Officer Rafik Nayed and discussed joint cooperation to strengthen community partnership between the public and banking sectors, towards promoting human development programmes.
He outlined the efforts in the field of training, employment, social rehabilitation and care, stressing the drive to encourage civil society institutions to promote community initiatives through the ministry-run financial grants programme.
Nayed also outlined Al-Salam Bank-led policy and strategy, stressing keenness on achieving a higher level of Bahrainisation and benefiting from Bahraini competences in the financial and banking sectors.
Citing latest statistics, he said that Al-Salam Bank has so far achieved a rate of Bahrainisation of 90 per cent (90%), hailing the ministry-led efforts to develop charity and voluntary work in Bahrain.
