Mauritania's President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz met today with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is currently visiting Mauritania.

During the meeting, they discussed developments of the Palestinian issue, and the ongoing efforts of the Mauritanian presidency of the Arab summit to stop the settlements and pave the way for serious negotiations to ensure stop the suffering of the Palestinians and the application of relevant international conventions.
