Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Italy’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Domenico Bellato, accompanied with the president of Italy-based energy firm Enel.

 

The meeting reviewed important projects carried out by the Electricity and Water Authority in its infrastructure development plan, as well as the new projects in the renewable energy sector.

The president of Enel expressed a desire of Italian specialized companies in the electricity, water and renewable energy sectors to contribute to the existing and future projects in this area.

The ambassador thanked the minister and officials for the welcome and the hospitality and confirmed his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the electricity, water and renewable energy areas and to serve all interests and aspirations.

Executive Director of the Sustainable Energy Unit, Jehan Al-Murbati, was also present during the meeting.
