His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received separately General Abdul Rahman Al Banyan, Chief of the Joint Staff of Saudi Arabia, and Ahmed Gaid Salah, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army of Algeria and Vice-Minister of Defence.
The meetings took place on the sidelines of the 13th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2017) which commenced in Abu Dhabi today.
Sheikh Mohamed and the Saudi and Algerian commanders discussed avenues of cooperation and coordination in military and defence fields between the UAE and Saudi Arabia and Algeria. They also tackled the latest regional developments and issues of mutual concern.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, attended the meeting with the Algerian military commander, while Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), and Lt. General Juma Ahmed Al Bowardi Al Falasi, Advisor to the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, were present at both meetings.
