Representatives Council

Member of the Representatives Council, Jamal Dawood, has affirmed that the Bahraini-Sudanese relations are solid and are progressing steadily, valuing highly brotherly Sudan’s honourable stances towards Bahrain and its people.
He expressed the keenness of the Representatives Council, led by Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially the parliamentary one.
This came as MPs Jamal Dawood Suleiman and Isa Al-Koheji, met here today the Sudanese State Minister of Investment, Osama Faisal Elsayed Ali, in the presence of Sudan’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdulrahman Khalil Ahmed Afandi.
MP Jamal Dawood said that the Kingdom welcomes cooperation with Sudan, noting that there are wider opportunities to enhance joint coordination and increase joint investments.
He welcomed legislative proposals to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
He lauded the role played by the members of the Sudanese expatriate community and its contributions to Bahrain’s development process, as well as their role in protecting the kingdom’s security and stability.
He also praised the role played by the Sudanese Embassy to strengthen bilateral ties.
