Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab visited the city of Ismailia Tuesday.

He met with chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish to follow up preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal slated for August 6.

Wastes on the two sides of the Cairo-Ismailia desert road will be removed ahead of the big event, Mahlab said.

The ceremony will be attended by different segments of the Egyptian society.
