Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz discussed Thursday with United Nations (UN) Special Envoy on Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed the latest developments in Yemen.
They also tackled efforts exerted to resume the political process in light of the Gulf initiative and the decisions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) such as the 2216 resolution.
The Saudi official underlined his country's support to the UN so as to achieve security, stability and legitimacy in Yemen.
He further reiterated that there are intensified efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people.
The UN envoy arrived here Thursday on a visit to Saudi Arabia.
