President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Thursday with Ali Adel Eshmawi, the commander of the northern military zone.

Presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said Eshmawi reviewed a report on the work progress in a number of projects currently under construction in the area under his command.

President Sisi highlighted the importance of commitment to the timetables set for the projects and establishing development projects in impoverished areas to provide a decent life for citizens there.

He also directed officials to study the feasibility of establishing a new traffic axis in Alexandria governorate to ease the movement of residents.
