Iraqi President Fuad Masum met here Tuesday with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Iraq, Jan Kubis, who confirmed the readiness of the UN to support Iraq's plans in terms of the protection of displaced people, and the political reconciliation.

      The meeting also dealt with the United Nations Mission (UNAMI) programs in Iraq.
