Cairo - MENA
The Children's Cancer Hospital Egypt (CCHE 57357) will sign a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Supply Thursday under which the latter will transfer ownership of a land affiliated with the Food Industries Holding Company to the hospital.
The land will be used in hospital expansion projects and in establishing an outlet to sell commodities to families converging on the hospital.
Supply Minister Khaled Hanafy will attend the inking ceremony.
The Food Industries Holding Company should also provide the hospital with free foodstuffs for children receiving treatment during the fasting month of Ramadan, said Hesham Abdel Salam, a media official at CCHE 57357, Wednesday.
The hospital, located in Cairo, is one of the biggest hospitals specialized in children's cancer in the world.
Fundraising for the hospital, including well-attended benefit festivals, started in 1998, with a target date for opening of December 2003. It eventually opened in 2007.
The number 57357, was the bank account number which would accept donations from the public to build the hospital.
