An Egyptian-Chinese business forum will kick off on Thursday with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
The forum is organized by the Egyptian Businessmen's Association in cooperation with the General Authority for Free Zones and Investment (GAFI) and the Chinese Economic Cooperation Center of the ruling Chinese Communist Party's Foreign Relations Committee.
The forum is organized on the occasion of the current visit of a Chinese business delegation to Cairo.
In statements Sunday, Ali Issa, head of the association, said the forum provides a chance for furthering trade and economic cooperation between Egyptian companies and their Chinese counterparts.
He noted that representatives of 35 major Chinese companies will attend the forum.
Some members of the Chinese delegation expressed desire to set up investment projects in Egypt in the domains of petrochemicals, new and renewable energy, aviation, communications, agriculture, ready-to wear clothes, construction, auto manufacturing, infrastructure and education.
