A Lebanese businessmen delegation will start a four-day visit to Egypt next Sunday for talks with their Egyptian counterparts on industrial cooperation, Chairman of the Chemicals & Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) Khaled Abu el Makarem said on Monday.
During the key visit, the delegation will take tours of a number of factories in the industrial zone, including 6th of October City, 10th of Ramadan City, Badr City, Alexandria's Borg El Arab city as well as Sadat City, Abu el Makarem added in a statement.
The Lebanese delegation - which comprises representatives of 40 mega Lebanese companies - will hold several bilateral talks with the Egyptian side at Cairo International Convention Centre, the CEC official stated.
Setting the framework for establishing the Egyptian-Lebanese company, which vies for a share in the African market, will be also agreed upon during this month's visit, he further explained.
Scheduled to be announced within a month from now, the structure of the industrial "offshore" company is composed of 14 stakeholders, among them 8 Egyptian businessmen and 6 Lebanese ones based in Africa and owning giant marketing and industrial corporates, Abu el Makarem added.
Abu el Makarem, meanwhile, said that the main goal behind founding Lebanon-based new company is to capitalize on the know-how of the Lebanese businessmen in dealing with the African market with a view to increasing the volume of Egyptian exports to the African market.
