Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab arrives in the Tunisian capital Tuesday at the head of a high-profile delegation on a two-day visit to Tunis during which he will meet with president Beji Caid Essebsi on developments in Arab and international arena.
The prime minister will also discuss with the Tunisian president issues of mutual concern and means to promote Egyptian-Tunisian relations in various domains and will convey a message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the Tunisian president.
Mahlab will co-chair with Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid meetings of the joint higher committee which will discuss means to cement relations between the two countries especially in the economic, investments, tourist and cultural domains.
Nearly five agreements and protocols are expected to be signed with senior Tunisian officials in the field of cooperation.
The prime minister will meet senior officials to discuss issues of terrorism combat and will also discuss with them the Libyan file and means to combat it on the Libyan territories.
The prime minister will meet with Tunisian and Egyptian businessmen to discuss efforts to increase investments between the two countries.
The delegation accompanying Mahlab, which includes the ministers of tourism, industry, culture and international cooperation, will meet Tunisian ministers to discuss cooperation between the two countries.
