German Chancellor Angela Merkel will pay a visit to Algeria on Tuesday.
During her two-day visit, Merkel will discuss with Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal ways of boosting bilateral ties along with security issues in the region, terrorism and illegal immigration, the German government said in a statement Saturday.
The economic file will figure high during meeting, added the statement.
Merkel will also meet with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to discuss ways of boosting Algerian-German ties.
