President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with world renowned scientist Farouk Farouk El Baz, said Spokesman for the Presidency Alaa Yousef.
The meeting tackled the best areas that can be reclaimed and developed nationwide, said Yousef.
During the meeting, Baz briefed President Sisi on the images of geological survey for a number of Egyptian areas to consider the possibility of reclamation and development and to make use of underground water reserves.
The survey showed pictures of soil and the best places that could be transferred into integrated developmental communities.
President Sisi stressed the importance of discovering new lands suitable for agriculture in order to create job opportunities in the fields of agriculture, industry and trade along with providing food needs of the citizens.
