French Ambassador to Egypt Andre Parant stressed on Sunday the importance of French President François Hollande's projected visit to Egypt next week.
Hollande is scheduled to start a two-day visit to Egypt next Sunday.
Speaking to reporters, Parant said Hollande and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will probe efforts to fight terrorism and step up military cooperation between the two countries.
They will hold important political talks during their meeting next week, he added
France will send the Mistral-class helicopter carriers to Egypt in July or August, Parant noted.
A delegation comprising 60 representatives of French companies will accompany Hollande during his visit, he said.
