Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi received Thursday here the Egyptian Ambassador to Yemen Yousef el Sharqawy.

During the meeting, Hadi expressed his appreciation to the Egyptian government and people for supporting his country and the constitutional legitimacy in Yemen.

For his part, el Sharqawy underlined that Egypt backs Yemen so as to achieve stability and legitimacy represented by Hadi.

He further said that Egypt follows up closely the conditions in the violence-hit country and calls on all political powers to implement the articles of the Gulf Initiative so as to find a solution to the Yemeni crisis.

The two sides discussed during the meeting bilateral relations as well as the latest regional and international developments.
