Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen surprised bar goers in Jersey Shore over the weekend when he took to the stage for an impromptu two-hour set.

The 65-year-old rocker joined Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers Saturday night at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park to perform 15 songs, NJ.com reports. Crowds watched from a packed house, many spilling into the surrounding sidewalks. The singer reportedly dedicated his last song, "Light of Day," to them.

Other songs performed were "Never Be Enough Time," "Adam Raise a Cain," "Racing in the Street," and "Atlantic City."

"Great show at The Wonder Bar tonight!!!" the bar wrote on its official Facebook page on Saturday. "Chris Daniels and The Proof, Billy Walton Band, Joe Grushecky and The HouseRockers and yes...Bruce Springsteen!"

Joe Grushecky introduced his longtime friend as the "King of New Jersey," at the beginning of the show. According to Rolling Stone, Grushecky is a special education teacher in Pittsburg and has been friends with the rock star for three decades.
