Miracles From Heaven -- a film starring Jennifer Garner, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Eugenio Derbez and Queen Latifah -- began shooting this week around Atlanta.

The Sony Pictures Entertainment project is based on the true story of a couple whose 10-year-old daughter Anna is diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening disease that tests their family and everyone's faith.

Directed by Patricia Riggen, the film introduces young actress Kylie Rogers as Anna. It is set for release March 18, 2016.

"As they meet with doctor after doctor to find a cure, or at least offer some respite from Anna's severe symptoms, it is not until she has a near-death experience that a miracle happens that changes their lives forever," a synopsis said.
