Well-known US singer Michael Bolton visited on Friday the Giza Plateau where he asked people from all over the globe to visit Egypt.

Next to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Bolton called on tourists from all over the world to visit Egypt, which he described as "the land of peace, safety and civilization."

Bolton is currently on a visit to Egypt during which he will hold his first ever concert in the country.

Bolton was received at the Giza Pyramids area by Director General of the Giza Plateau Ashraf Mohy.

Bolton underlined that Egyptians who built the pyramids are able to foil any attempt to undermine their great civilization.

Meanwhile, Mohy said that Bolton has visited the three Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx and other archaeological sites in the area.
