Robin Thicke's new album, Paula, did not have a good debut week in the United Kingdom.
The Guardian reports that the singer's ode to his estranged wife Paula Patton flubbed on its first week bringing in just two percent of the sales his previous album did in the same period.
Paula reportedly entered the Official U.K. Chart at number 200 with a meager 530 copies sold on its debut week.
The record's failure to thrive could be attributed to Thicke's campaign to promote it as an ode to get Patton back. After declaring on multiple occasions that the album was his way of apologizing to the 2 Guns actress and dedicating several live performances to her, Thicke's efforts to get his wife back were deemed "stalker-ish."
The 37-year-old singer admitted on July 1 that he hadn't seen Patton in four months. The actress, 38, announced the two were ending their nine-year marriage in February, months after Thicke had been critiqued for the suggestive lyrics and video of his hit single Blurred Lines and for his risqué performance alongside Miley Cyrus at the 2013 VMAs.
