Donald “Rocky” Rothschiller, a retired jack-of-all-trades, has completed his first book “Life Goes On,” a book of inspiring poems to lighten the heart and brighten the day. Both reflective and insightful, this work leaves no stone unturned as it examines the failures and successes of a resilient soul.
On his inspiration to write this book, author Donald “Rocky” Rothschiller said, “I was sitting at my uncle’s deathbed in the hospital and started to wonder what he was thinking. Then I put myself in that position and started to write down what I might be thinking. As the night passed I crumbled up the paper and threw it away. A nurse found it, read it, and told me I should write more poetry. I didn’t even know some of the words rhymed.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Donald “Rocky” Rothschiller’s poignant work is a collection of wonderfully crafted poems and is a potent memoir filled with a plethora of emotion and a tone of honesty that is unforgettable.
We fear the dark because of what we can't see. Fear is universal, yet so individually different. Fear of old age and of losing loved ones to death are two of the most common. They usually cause despair and make some feel hopeless, but Donald “Rocky” Rothschiller believes that there is life in old age and even after loss. Life Goes On is an inspirational collection of poetry that makes one feel the last warm rays of the sun before sunset. Read on and feel fear slowly seep out of you, as hope and light take its place.
