Airlines resume their flights to Aden International Airport after more than a year hiatus, sources at the airport told Aden Al Ghad news website on Thursday.

A plane affiliated to the Yemenia airline landed in the airport today.

The airport was destroyed by Houthis and pro-former president Ali Abdullah Saleh militias during the aggression of March, 2015.

On Wednesday, the Yemeni government announced the re-operation of the airport after renovation works that were conducted by the UAE government.
