As many as 20.000 Czech tourists visited Tunisia during the new tourism season, Tawfiq Alqabd, Undersecretary of Tourism Sector in Medenine Town said on Sunday.

In a statement, Alqabd said that Tunisian Djerba island has received this week a cruise liner with 146 Czech tourists on board.

In a related context, the activities of the tourism cultural carnival were begun in Monastir city.

The carnival aims to promote Tunisian various tourist destinations.
