More than 20,000 Egyptians and tourists visited the Giza plateau where the pyramids are located on Saturday and Sunday.
"That proves Egyptians are keen to brave terrorism," the Ministry of Antiquities said in a statement.
Among the 20,000, more than 12,000 were Egyptians while the rest were tourists mostly from Asian countries.
