Marsa Matruh - MENA
As many as 354 Egyptians returned from Libya via Salloum crossing over the past 24 hours, said Marsa Matrouh Security Chief Hesham Lofty on Sunday.
Out of all the returnees, 293 Egyptians came back legally, while the rest returned illegally, he noted.
The arrival and departure procedures of 465 persons, including 209 Egyptians and 256 Libyans, were swiftly finalized.
Libya has been witnessing a rising insurgency by different rebel groups and militias and an increasing use of weapons since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2011.
