Four investors have gotten bid requirements documents for the river taxi project, Transport Ministry spokesman Ahmed Ibrahim said.

Transport Minister Saad el Geyoushi had asked businesspersons across Egypt to invest in the river taxi project, the spokesman said.

The Transport Ministry will form soon a new agency to govern river transport and will comprise all ministries and authorities related to transport, tourism and fishing in the Nile to unify licenses, inspection and supervision of all river boats and ferries, he said.
