The pilgrims

As many as 840 pilgrims have departed to Saudi Arabia via Nuweiba Port over the past week.
The ports of Nuweiba and Safaga are taking urgent measures to cope with the increasing number of pilgrims heading for Saudi Arabia to perform the minor pilgrimage, coinciding with the al Mawlid an-Nabawī (the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad), falling January 3, according to Abdel Rehim Moustafa, the spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority, Wednesday.
