Pakistani authorities closed the Benazir Bhutto International airport in the capital Islamabad since midnight last night when thick fog began to spread in all of the cities Islamabad and neighboring Rawalpindi. According to airport sources, all internal and external flights have been converted to other airports in the country. Pakistani authorities also closed the road between Islamabad and Lahore midnight last night but re-opened just after the fog has settled in that region. Most parts of Pakistan facing a tidal wave of bitter cold and meteorological sources expect this wave to continue over the next three days
