Al Azhar Tunnel was temporarily closed after a car overturned inside, a security source said.

In statements to MENA on Saturday, the source said the car overturned and collided with another vehicle, leaving one person dead.

The accident resulted in halting traffic movement for cars heading from Salah Salem street towards downtown Cairo. 

Remnants of the accident are being removed, the source said.
