Algeria has earmarked 270 DZD ($3.5 billion) for an investment plan to develop more than 700 tourism projects by 2025, Algeria’s Ministry of Tourism announced. The plan was presented at a news conference held by Algerian Tourism Minister Mohamed Benmeradi, who pointed out that the government has received 713 plans so far in the field of hotels and institutions. The Algerian government fully owns the assets of 48 hotels of different categories, with a capacity estimated at 18,000 beds.
