Cairo airport authorities closed the airspace for 10 minutes Tuesday while three new Rafale jets made a parade in the skies of the Egyptian capital.

The three jets arrived from France as part of a deal signed earlier this year to provide Egypt with 24 Rafale combat jets.

The closure of the airspace has not delayed landing or taking off of flights, a source at the airport said.
