Cairo Metro Line 1 was partially suspended on Tuesday over power outage.

Electricity company had cut electricity feeding some of the line's stations starting from Shohada to Helwan, Cairo Metro media spokesperson Ahmed Abdel Hadi said.

The Electricity Ministry pledged swift restoration of electricity to the metro which transports more than 3 million commuters daily.
