EgyptAir flights took off from Geneva to Cairo after seven-hour delay due to maintenance works, Head of EgyptAir office in Geneva Ahmed Hamamy said on Friday.
The delay of the plane, with 121 passengers on board, came due to changing a spare part that was not found in Geneva Airport and was ordered from Zurich city, he added.
During the waiting time, the company has provided the passengers with all means of comfort including food, beverages and a comfort place to wait in the airport until the maintenance works were finalized, Hamamy said.
