EgyptAir Company will sign contracts to buy 33 planes of the latest models as part of the national carrier's efforts to renew its fleet, Chairman & CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company Safwat Musallam said.

The models of the planes will vary according to the needs of company.

The 8th Boeing plane (B737-800 NG) arrived to Egypt on Saturday as part of a nine-plane deal.

The 9th plane will arrive here by the end of 2017.

EgyptAir announced in July the purchase of nine of the latest 737 aircraft, valued at about US$864 million (almost LE9 billion).

ight of the aircrafts are being purchased with the assistance of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), partly owned by the government of Dubai.

The 737-800 is the best-selling version of the successful Next-Generation 737 family. Known for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and economic performance, the 737-800 is selected by leading carriers throughout the world because it provides operators the flexibility to serve a wide range of markets.
