Head of EgyptAir Holding Company Sameh el-Hefni announced that the company's flights to Arbil in Iraq will be suspended until August 16 due to security conditions there.
In statements, Hefni said that the EgyptAir flight bound for Baghdad took off today at 9:00, without any problems.
Late on Thursday, the US authorities launched a series of airstrikes targeting the positions of Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants fighting in Iraq against Kurdish forces defending the city of Arbil.
