Egypt's ambassador to Armenia and non-resident ambassador to Georgia Tareq Maaty said Egyptian and Armenian travel companies agreed on operating three weekly flights from Armenia's Yerevan city to Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh.
The deal was signed by two Egyptian companies; AMC and Air Cairo, and two Armenian companies; Sky Tour and Anriva-trans.
In statements on Sunday, the Egyptian diplomat said the companies will start operating these flights as of June 18.
He further noted that four weekly flights are currently being operated from Georgia's Tbilisi city to Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh.
