Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker left Cairo on Friday heading for Abu Dhabi to take part in the ninth World Future Energy Summit.
The summit will kick off Monday and will run for four days.
The summit will tackle the future of global energy in light of falling oil prices and new projects in the sector of solar energy in the Middle East and North Africa.
The summit will also cover the issue of climate change and ways to develop renewable energy.
