Ethiopian Airlines on Tuesday launched direct flights between Singapore and Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia. The thrice-weekly flight services is a 13-hour trip with an hour- long stopover in Bangkok. Singapore media quoted Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Lee Yi Shyan as saying in a media statement that the move signifies a warming of bilateral relations between the two countries. Singapore Airlines currently flies to Johannesburg daily and four times to Cape Town weekly.
