Libyan Sabha airport

The first flight which was destined to the Libyan Sabha airport, southern Libya, on Thursday was canceled, one day after the airport was re-inaugurated, director of the African airline company said Friday.

In a brief press statement, Khalifa Khaled said the flight was cancelled for security reasons without giving more details.

Director of the airport Muhammad Oheda stressed that the airport was not closed, but airline companies halted their flights, adding that the police and army are tasked with securing the airport.
