Cairo - MENA
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left Cairo on Monday for the Italian capital Rome, the first leg of a European tour that will also take him to London.
In statements before his departure, Shoukry said that his visit to Rome comes to take part in a meeting of a mini-coalition against Daesh.
In London, the top diplomat said he will participate in a summit to support Syria on February 4.
The summit brings together heads of state and government to mobilize more financial support to face the humanitarian crises caused by the war in Syria.
