A number of French and Egyptian lawmakers threw flowers from Alexandria's Stanley Bridge, wishing mercy for the victims of the EgyptAir plane that crashed last week in the Mediterranean.

EgyptAir flight MS804 crashed on May 19 with 56 passengers and 10 crew on board into the Mediterranean Sea while en route from Paris to Cairo. 

The wreckage of the plane was found north of Alexandria.
